Synchronisation of ORCID iD and Researcher IDs

Researcher ID is an author identifier recorded in the Web of Science database. It is linked to WoS records and offers a variety of related reports and metrics, a record of reviews, and the author's editorial work. Authors create a Researcher ID profile on their own or with the help of a faculty coordinator.

It is possible to set up the mutual synchronisation of records between the Researcher ID and the ORCID iD.

Synchronisation instructions:

1) Select the blue highlighted text "enabling ORCiD import sync in your profile settings" in the Researcher profile ID settings under "Sync with ORCID".

2) Set the import synchronisation authorisation from ORCID.

3) Sign in to your ORCID iD.

4) Enable access authorisation.

5) Activate the required "updates" and save the settings.

As soon as you make a change to the ORCID iD or Researcher ID, the two platforms will overwrite the change into the other (the content will be automatically synchronised).
