The IMPETUS grant project was established with the support of the European Commission and focuses on Citizen Science projects. This project organizes a total of three rounds of grant calls. Two rounds have already taken place in 2023 and 2024. The third and final call is expected to be open from January to March 2025.
The project offers two grant opportunities:
IMPETUS Accelerator open call
Within this open call, you can apply for two types of grants:
Kickstarting grants
If you are starting or have recently launched a new project (no more than 6 months old), you may apply for a Kickstarting grant. Successful applicants will receive €20,000, mentoring, and training support to help establish their initiative.
Sustaining grants
If your project is ongoing, you can apply for a sustaining grant. Successful applicants will receive €10,000, mentoring, and training support.

European Union Prize for Citizen Science
This prize supports outstanding citizen science initiatives. "It honors, presents and supports outstanding projects whose social and political impact advances the further development of a pluralistic, inclusive and sustainable society in Europe."
