The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) runs the Copyright Knowledge Centre on its website where, in addition to basic information and useful links to study materials, training courses, and case law, it recently launched the Corner on Copyright for Knowledge and Cultural Institutions. This section is intended for employees, researchers and anyone involved in the operation of museums, libraries, archives, educational institutions, universities and research organizations.

On the website, you can find three sections containing information, tools, educational materials, and links to studies and webinars tailored specifically for Cultural Heritage Professionals (museums libraries, etc.), Educators and Researchers. Of particular note is this infographic on intellectual property in research, the step-by-step guide to copyright for researchers that addresses the issue of reusing and sharing research content, with an emphasis on the use of third-party protected works, and the step-by-step guide to copyright in education focusing on the use of copyrighted works in the classroom. Also of interest are the recordings of webinars on the specifics of copyright law in selected European countries, which can be found in all three sections.

We consider this website and its content to be a useful source of information on intellectual property law and encourage you to check it out.
